Response to Course Materials #4
This week, we were working in small groups on our prezi presentations about a literary era. My group had a lot of fun working on these presentations and tried to stay focused and finish with a decent final product. I like that we are being trusted to use the freedom of the prezi platform in order to instruct our peers over our topic. I also like that in order to perform well, we each had to obtain an understanding of our topic, which was ictorian, naturalism and realism. This week was a good indicator of what working in small groups will be like for us throughout the year and how well my group worked together and if they were a good fit for me.

Good work. I definitely agree that it was nice to have the freedom of the prezi platform in order to learn about the material and instruct our peers. Also, through your blog it was easy to see what worked for you, and what you may still need to improve upon. The only suggestion I have is make sure you talk about everything that happened since the last blog post, and not just what happened in the past week. Otherwise, your post was very well done.
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised to hear people enjoyed the "Prezi" work. As I found the Prezi platform incredibly discouraging and frustrating to use, I'm glad to hear it was beneficial to others.
ReplyDeleteIt's good to see you seemed to have a better time with Prezi than my group did. We found it quite pain to try and click the little lines with the extremely incapable track-pad on the cows. I might suggest that you try and write more than just about the past week next time, since I think we did do some work on DOASM since the last post? I'm always interested in seeing how other people are feeling about the book and their class discussions and such.
